LISA LACH-NIELSEN

Lisa Lach-Nielsen (b. 1974) is a visual artist based in Copenhagen, Denmark. She holds a Master’s degree in Clothing Design from the Royal Danish Academy of Design and began her career as a visual artist in 2012.

Lisa’s work centers on the theme of identity and the human search for self. With a deep interest in psychology, she explores the hidden yet familiar aspects of our inner lives, often focusing on young girls and women navigating a complex and confusing world. Her paintings reflect the struggle to find balance, while also uncovering the darker sides of existence.

Through surreal, dreamlike sceneries and a strong figurative symbolism, Lisa creates oil paintings that are both beautiful and unsettling. Her works invite the viewer to look inward, often stirring subconscious dilemmas and emotions that linger long after the first encounter.
